We have been working collaboratively with Bath & North East Somerset Council and some of its partner agencies since August 2011 on the development of a Drupal based website to replace the existing Sharepoint version.

This is a major project for the Council and involves a significant shift in approach involving the transfer of over 5000 pages of content for 800+ services to a new external platform.

We were engaged to:

  • Work with the council collaboratively to develop the new external website
  • Train and support the existing staff
  • Support the Council in redeveloping its server and web infrastructure
  • Support the council in migrating the content from the existing site to the new site
  • To work with the Council to ensure the website infrastructure supports increased on-line transactions as well as new functionality to improve engagement with the public
  • Develop a new intranet and migrate all the internal content

The overall approach has been to work with the existing web team, to improve their skills and to ensure that the site is sustainable in terms of maintenance and new development.
